The complete life of a photo

From your phone to a story worth sharing

PhotoCore closes the loop. Bring every photo home, find the ones that matter, relive them, and share them. All on your Mac.

01 · Capture

Bring it home

Import photos and videos from your iPhone or Android to a drive you own. Every file is checked byte for byte.

02 · Archive

Keep it safe

Your library lives on your Mac, an SSD or a NAS, and stays searchable even when the drive is unplugged.

03 · Rediscover

Find anything

Search by meaning, by face, by place or by quality. Let Constellation group your gallery into moments on its own.

04 · Share

Tell the story

Turn any set of photos into a web Story or a printed photo book, in seconds, without uploading a thing.

The Interface

A Gallery That Understands Your Content

Browse thousands of photos, diagrams and infographics through a fluid grid. Find with a sentence, rename with local AI in one click. Everything instant, everything on your Mac.

Smart Rename With Local AI

Local AI analyzes every image and generates a meaningful descriptive name. Properly named files are easier to find, organize and recall.

PhotoCore
Remember & share

Turn your photos into a story you can actually share

Pick a trip, a person, or a search result. PhotoCore chooses the best shots, orders them, and lays them out like a printed magazine. In about ten seconds you get a finished page.

One file. Opens anywhere. Offline, forever.

You get a single web page that opens in any browser, on any phone, with no link that expires and no tracking. Share it by AirDrop, message or email. Or export a print-ready PDF photo book for any print shop.

  • Built entirely on your Mac. Photos never leave it.
  • The file you share carries no location data.
  • Web story and print-ready PDF photo book.

Bring your iPhone home

Your phone is full and iCloud keeps asking for more money. PhotoCore copies your photos and videos to a drive you own, and checks every file byte for byte.

“Already archived 98%. New 2%.”

A fast scan shows exactly what is new before it copies anything. Nothing is ever deleted from your phone. When it is done, disconnect the drive and still find everything, because search and previews work offline.

  • Verified byte for byte after copying.
  • Works with iPhone, Android and PTP cameras.
  • One way only. Your phone is never touched.

Everything · Find · Remember · Own

One home, four promises

Import from any phone or drive. Find anything by describing it. Relive it with Constellation, Semantic Bridge and Stories. And own all of it, on your Mac, with no subscription.

Semantic Search

Type “sunset at the beach” or “business model diagram” — PhotoCore finds photos, infographics and diagrams by meaning, not filename. Supports all SigLIP 2 tokenizer languages.

Total Privacy

No photo ever leaves your Mac. Embeddings are computed locally via CoreML on the Apple Neural Engine. Your data is yours alone.

Smart Rename With Local AI

Local AI analyzes every image and generates a meaningful descriptive name: “sales-flow-diagram.png” instead of “IMG_7843.png”. Properly named files are easier to find, organize and recall.

Instant Speed

<50ms encoding per image on M-series. Search across 10,000 photos in under 50ms via Accelerate.vDSP. SQLite cache ensures instant persistence.

Search Disconnected Drives

Index an external drive, NAS or archive once — PhotoCore keeps finding every image even when the disk is unplugged. Search now, see exactly where each match lives, and reconnect only when you actually need the file.

Universal Formats

Supports JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP, GIF, BMP. Thumbnails generated natively via Quick Look. HEIC handled natively without conversions.

Find People

Name a person once, then search “@Anna at the beach” or filter by how many people are in the frame. Faces stay on your Mac and you can delete them anytime.

Map View

See your geotagged shots as native pins on Apple Maps, grouped by place. GPS is read on device from the metadata already in your photos.

Quality Filter

Sort any view by an on-device quality score, hide screenshots with one toggle and keep the best frame of a burst.

Explore beyond search

Two new ways to see your archive

Beyond search and rename, PhotoCore turns your photos into something to explore: a map of semantic groups and a narrative bridge between two images. All local, on your Mac.

How It Works

Find, Rename, Rediscover. All Local.

Select a folder, local AI indexes and renames files, then search everything with natural phrases. Three steps, zero cloud.

01

Select Your Folder

Open PhotoCore and choose a folder of images, photos, diagrams or infographics. The app scans recursively and counts files, estimating indexing time.

02

Index & Rename With Local AI

PhotoCore analyzes each image with SigLIP 2 on the Apple Neural Engine. Local AI generates descriptive names (e.g. “sales-flow-diagram.png” instead of “IMG_7843.png”) and saves 768-d vectors to local cache and XMP metadata.

03

Search With Words, Find Everything

Type what you’re looking for — “Q3 cover”, “architecture diagram”, “team photo”. PhotoCore finds content by semantic meaning, ranking by relevance. No file ever leaves your Mac.

Privacy

Your Privacy Is Non-Negotiable

No photo ever leaves your Mac. AI runs locally on the Apple Neural Engine. No account, no connection required.

  • No connection required for search
  • No account to create
  • No photos uploaded to the cloud
  • Embeddings saved locally (SQLite + XMP)
  • Optional: API Key stored in macOS Keychain
  • Apple App Sandbox for maximum isolation
On-device privacy: photos stay on your Mac

FAQ

Common Questions

In which languages can I search my images?
More than 100 languages. The local SigLIP 2 model understands queries in English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Arabic, Russian and many more — search in your own language, no setup required.
Does PhotoCore work without internet?
Yes, everything works offline. Search and rename AI runs locally on the Apple Neural Engine. External endpoints are only an advanced option for those who want it.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
Never. Indexing happens entirely on your Mac via CoreML and the Apple Neural Engine. No pixel ever leaves your computer.
Is there a subscription?
No subscription ever. PhotoCore offers a free Light version (up to 200 photos). The full version is a one-time purchase: €59.99 standard, or €29.99 with the Early Bird offer until August 15. Pay once, keep forever.
Can I share photos without uploading them?
Yes. Stories turns any set of photos into a single web page or a print-ready PDF photo book, built entirely on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded, and the shared file carries no location data.
How many photos can I index?
The free Light version supports up to 200 photos/images. The full version has no practical limit. The grid is virtualized to handle tens of thousands of images without slowdowns.
Is it compatible with Intel Macs?
No, PhotoCore requires Apple Silicon (M1-M5) to leverage CoreML and the Apple Neural Engine.
