Exact copies first
Files are grouped by size, fingerprinted and SHA-256 hashed only where needed. Byte-identical copies are found in seconds, even in huge libraries.

Then look-alikes
Each photo gets a visual fingerprint from the Neural Engine built into macOS (Vision). Bursts, re-exports and resized versions are grouped together.

You decide
One photo per group is pre-selected; click any other to keep that instead. Then move the others to the Trash or a folder of your choice, with undo.

Questions, answered
Is it safe to open? Will macOS complain?
The app is signed with our Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other Mac app: drag it to Applications and double-click. No "unidentified developer" warning.
Why is it only 3.5 MB?
Because it ships no AI model. It uses the Vision framework already built into macOS, the same Neural Engine features Apple Photos uses, so there is nothing to download beyond the app itself.
Does it delete my photos?
Never on its own. It shows groups, pre-selects one photo to keep, and only moves the others where you say: the Trash (recoverable) or a folder you choose. Every move has an Undo.
Does it work on Intel Macs?
Yes. The download is a universal binary for Intel and Apple silicon, on macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It is faster on Apple silicon, but works everywhere.
What is the difference from the browser tool?
The browser tool is read-only and limited to 200 photos per run. The Mac app has no photo limit, works on external drives and NAS, and can actually move the duplicates for you.
What is the difference from PhotoCore?
